sooo extremely happy to honor & appreciate Charlie publicly as officially being on retainer for 1 full year!! we had to go all out on her graphics this month to celebrate her commitment to me as her designer, her genuineness as a friend, & her inspiring dedication to her amazing business!

one thing Charlie is going to do is request banners (banners hate to see her coming!) & send me a full detailed paragraph about everything she wants & how she wants it. on top of that- throughout our 1 year of working together, she’s probably only had a total of 10 revisions. she’s literally ALWAYS satisfied! i’m so grateful :,))

my take on my girl’s brief for Fly Girl Extensions! “obsessed” isn’t even the word.. i’m so invested it’s not even funny.

took this as an opportunity to step into my recent mock-up desires. yes- mock-ups! these are not my photos but they might as well be! stay tuned as i tweak & improve this new skill lol. mildly tedious, but so aesthetically pleasing & worth it! ;)

if you haven’t learned by now, i loveee pinterest. it’s in use just about everyday! — i even have a pinterest account where i post my recent designs (if you wanna follow me ;)! so as im scrolling to find inspo for this project, i decided to make it pinterest themed & it came out so cuteee! i’m in love.

anyone else love being able to design freely, with no rush, & no limits ?? it’s so peaceful!

if i worked with @meaculpa.co on their summer campaign 😍

their photos are obviously the star of the show, so i decided to keep the flyers very simple & straight to the point. all i did was edit the photos a tad, add a grain overlay, added a soft glow (flyer 2), and my text :)

as i said before, summer graphics are my absolute favorite at this point- it’s something about the vibrant colors or maybe it’s just my personal love for the the season 🤭 (i can talk about the beach all day long)

halfway through designing these drafts- i said “uhn uhn i need to make this more realistic” . it was day 3 of designing, 1AM in the morning, their photos weren’t matching the aesthetic i was designing at first, & i was getting frustrated so i HAD to start over. i was so determined though!

if im not satisfied w the drafts- they aren’t getting sent over 🤣. point blank period! BUT overall the results are so worth it! i’m still in love with this project. summer themed graphics are definitely my favorite at the moment!

i am in love with these flyers. this project was so much fun to design! i can’t lie- these weren’t the original drafts, me being a perfectionist- i went back in redo 3 of her flyers to create more realism & relatable content for marketing!

nothing else to say other than i am in love. summer graphics might be my favorite- but then again what isn’t my favorite :,)

okay so.. who would’ve known my first time teaching live would be alongside the gorgeous & talented @morphographics ?! i definitely did not. glory be to God for this amazing opportunity & thank you kennedy for even considering me! i’m so overwhelmed with excitement & gratefulness- it was so much fun!

so if you don’t know, @morphographics recently presented a HUGE masterclass.. a week full of live teachings covering all things graphic design to celebrate her birthday- for ONLY $25! she reached out to me & asked if i could help teach how to design a flyer using canva, for day 1 of her class & i just knew i couldn’t say no! i was SO nervous, but i knew this opportunity was something i couldn’t let up & the experience was amazing.

some of you may know, i learned graphic design in high school using photoshop, but i got more into learning design on my own through canva for the past 2-3 years! my experience with canva has grown but im a photoshop girly at heart— although! through teaching this class the girlies even taught me a few things & i may be considering using canva again! 🌚

overall, im so happy & proud of all the ladies who followed along & designed a flyer with me! their work is amazing! & i will forever be grateful for this opportunity.
